Re: #correspondencetables - what needs to be done?

We have a good start! I added a checklist for pre-hackathon release, and added that to the hackathon planning board.
Michele, please add a short working group description to the hackathon README.

Dear Brandon, Stefano, and Tomas:
As I did not see much movement from your working group, I have done the following:
|

Updating the hackathon agenda
Dear all-
It is clear that we need to update the agenda, as we have split into working groups with different competencies, and I expect these groups to stick more or less together in Barcelona. I am therefore asking for your ideas, modifications, and wishes for the hackathon agenda. Let your creativity flow! So far, it seems to me like we will need an intro on Monday morning; and time for zoom conferences to bring in remote collaborators in the morning and late afternoon. These conferences will be a chance for each working group to present their current work for questions and comment, and to set themselves goals for the next 12 hours. Finally, we will have a summing up and strategizing for next steps on Friday afternoon (we will officially end at 14:00 on Friday, though there will be an Apero afterwards).

Re: Weekly Q&A with Chris
Dear all-
The call tomorrow is cancelled so that people (including me) can join the climate strike. You are welcome to send any pressing questions to me directly via email.

@Chris Done. Is there anyone that subscribed to this group that is not listed as a group member right now? @All, I am working on collecting under our group repo all the info/material/guidelines we have already found/developed on this topic. Get in touch with me if you have material/ideas

1. See if there are any differences in the elementary flows lists of
exiobase version 2 and 3 (even a single character difference is enough to need a mapping). 2. Map ecoinvent elementary flow list (from https://github.com/BONSAMURAIS/Correspondence-tables/blob/master/EcoinventElflow3.2_to_ILCD.csv) to EXIOBASE elementary flow list 3. Map exiobase v3 elementary flow list to US EPA elementary flow list (https://github.com/USEPA/Federal-LCA-Commons-Elementary-Flow-List/blob/master/fedelemflowlist/output/FedElemFlowList_0.2.csv) On Fri, 15 Mar 2019 at 11:35, Tiago Morais <tiago.g.morais@tecnico.ulisboa.pt> wrote:

Hi Michele,
Like Tiago, I also opted for this group to offer my help. I added my name to the readme on github and created a pull request. I will start to work on point 2 from Chris' list.

Hi all,
I already finished the correspondence between v3 and v2 of exiobase, but I’m not authorize to upload in the github. Thus, I attached the file year.
Meanwhile, I will also start to work on the point 3 from Chris’s list.

I am also available today although from 13pm “GMT-4” (I think 10 am pacific time), although talking today may be a bit of a stretch.
Otherwise at any time next week at “CET times” (not before 8am CET please !)

Hi all,
Sorry for not participating as much the past few weeks. I'm trying to catch up with what everyone has said so far. In terms of these competency questions. I guess the question that Massimo is asking is with respect to time scales and time windows. I'm not entirely familiar with the dataset that is available in the domain, but these time scales for measurements can cause some incongruity in the representation that is finally done in the ontologies. I'm not sure if the questions I ask are of the type to be included in these competency questions but my opinions are as follows: (MR_Q1) What is the time granularity of the data that we acquire? This includes flow rates and production statistics. I also assume this varies with the different sources of data. Some data may already be averaged (Do we handle these differently?). (MR_Q2) Are we going to aggregate data as part of the ontology specification or is this left for other parts of the pipeline? And if we are to aggregate data, to what degree and time scales? (per hour, per day, per week - I think this depends on how often we aggregate data and what data is available, I don't think a per minute data is significant enough in the overall scheme of LCA but I might be wrong) As of now, these are the questions that came to my head as I'm reading along the threads in this group. I'll post more ideas as I come across them. Best, Miguel Remolona
